Wow, wearing one stoma cap for 5 days!

I did my induced diarrhea cleansing described in other posts 5 days ago and no output at all so far. Taking some iron and feeling great.
Have been wearing the same Coloplast stoma cap the whole time just making sure I don't get it too wet during showers. It's amazing to feel completely free of the hassles of colostomy. I'm gonna see if I can stretch it for one week till my next cleansing.
All the best,
Laz

Laz ~ I am so interested in your technique. I have been irrigating for 25 years and recent months the returns have been sporadic and inconvenient throughout the day and just not what it was for the past 25 years ( fast returns and set for the the day and being a dental hygienist and and RN I am very close to people ~ doing both jobs that require closeness). I am very frustrated and seems like I spend more time irrigating to get returns so I am contemplating your technique. I just don't know why I am a little nervous to do it your way but I am determined to try it.
Questions ~ Are you still doing your technique? Do you know others that do this technique? Do you still take iron or do you take Lomotil to slow things after?
Thanks - hope you are around to reply

Oh I have another question - Do you take the MOM after dinner meal or before a meal? I read where you start around 5 pm. Your technique sounds like something that would solve my problem.
Thanks again -
Mary

If I don't irrigate for 48 hours, I feel bloated; I can't imagine going 5 days! Do you not have this problem?
Do you eat a low-residue diet or something to reduce bulk?
