My besty success was with prednisolone suppositories. This would frequently give me about a week of no discharge.

My surgeon performed a flex sig (flexible sigmoidoscopy) on me since I last wrote. Nothing was there he said. Nothing. Empty. No 'reason' for the problem. But still the horrible discomfort stays. And still I get mucus, sometimes tiny solid bits and sometimes just thready looking bits, almost every day using the techniques described by others in this set of posts, water enemas, flushing out. Strange...if it has a smell, I cannot detect it...but that might be just my nose is not sensitive. Still definitely not a happy camper at all. And no one in the medical field seems to have any useful advice to offer.
