Lingering symptoms reversal week 3

I had my reversal 3 weeks ago as the culmination of 2.5 years of surgery. This is my 4th surgery during that time(colostomy, revision, stoma hernia, takedown). I recovered within days of my other surgeries and was back to normal within a week. This time has been much harder in terms of pain and symptoms. Constant sweats with fever and chills(no temp), insomnia, bm around 20-30 times a day and severe cramping pain that came back at the 2 week mark( the pain originally subsided after 7 days). I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems like this? I have no sign of infection or cdiff, or any other problems besides some high liver enzymes. The bowel movements are just starting to lessen in frequency to around 10 a day but the pain is ramping up in response it seems. Surgeon and primary are frustrated in trying to find a cause and ways to help. I was on high doses of immodium and lomotil for 2 years to stretch the time between my irrigations. Answer now seems to be it's just how I'm responding to the surgery and/or I'm having opiate withdrawls from the immodium and lomotil. Has anyone else experienced this?

It has been 3 weeks since my colostomy reversal surgery. I am beyond discouraged. The excruciating pain immediately following surgery was a total surprise and shock to my system. I too am spending hours in the bathroom as I have to move my bowels at least every half hour. The pain during my bowel movements is beyond painful. I have used almost all of the cream that my surgeon prescribed for me within just s week. after each bowel movement I clean the area around my rectum then apply the cream. Within 30 minutes I have another bowel movement and do the same thing yet again. I experience slight nausea all day. Taking medication for that and using Advil several times a day along with colace to keep thing moving. I need to sit on my heating pad throughout the day. My legs ache most of the day and now I am suspecting that I have a fistula. Need to check in with my doctor yet again. My family was so happy for me when they knew I was not going to need my bag anymore. In their minds I should be SO happy and they sre not as empathetic as they were with my original surgery. They don't understand the pain and discomfort I am going through. Just frustrated and a little depressed about all this. Reading similar complaints help me not feel alone or crazy Thanks everyone!
