Travel tote

Post by steiconi »

I've been traveling a lot over the last year, and have been looking for a replacement for the zipper bag that came with my irrigation kit. I was always cramming wet supplies in as we dashed out of the hotel, and they were still wet when we got to the next stop. Extra supplies didn't fit, so lived in a separate bag.

I found a lightweight nylon backpack at a thrift store--a promotional giveaway with a company logo on it. It has a big drawstring pouch that holds my kit, plus a zipper pocket big enough to hold a month's worth of supplies. It's so nice to have everything in one place, and there's some air flow to help things dry out.

The cheapo cord straps, which would be awful to wear, are great for hanging the bag up.

I'm a happy camper!

I travel quite often also. I use the Hollister irrigation equipment because it folds up easily and compactly, also use Hollister new image two piece mini pouches, I pre cut the flanges.

I can get the folded up water dispenser and cone, two or three sleeves, four or five flanges and pouches, and a hook for hanging things, and my daily meds, all in a one gallon zip lock bag that is quite flat and tucks nicely into my carryon. I also carry the one quart ziplock that is required for carrying shaving cream and toothpaste etc. in my carryon. If I am going for more than a few days I put more stuff into my larger suitcase or checked bag if I am checking anything. If you are worried abut things being wet put the wet stuff in a smaller plastic bag to isolate it.

Lighter is better.
