Passed another kidney stone 2 weeks ago. This makes stone #2 in 3 years. Both stones were uric acid stones. I am being referred to a Nephrologist. I guess there is a connection between stones and having an ileostomy. Something with dehydration, kidneys working harder, not having the colon to absorb water etc. We shall see.

I have an ileostomy and the same uric acid kidney stone issue. My stones were much more frequent that what you described. Kidney stones hurt a lot and also had made me afraid to travel, etc. Allopurinol (spelling?) has worked wonders for me. Good luck to you.
