Thursday I was walking for a while - heat wave but needed a think. Ostomy filled up with liquid twice and Friday routine change had a nice red strip below stoma plus some other skin issues. Changed this morning (my twice a week routine) Redness persists though other skin issues cleared up. I put on layers of Cavilon spray and powder this round. Hopefully I see improvement this coming Friday.
Not painful or anything, just red. I realize could be fungal but response to heat and output likeliest. If not cleared up Friday, I’ll get some OTC antifungal and put in call to WOCN.
Any other suggestions? How long should red skin take to heal?
Time for redness to heal?

Re: Time for redness to heal?
Sounds like you are doing the right thing. Pot on some stoma hesive powder then dab on the skin prep or spray, do not wipe as it will wipe off the powder. maks sure everything is perfectly dry and clean which I am sure you re doing.
