I have struggled with output problems over the past several months. I have spent weeks in the hospital with ileus. Has anyone used Miralax to try and get things going?

Ileus by definition is the absence of peristalsis. If you had an obstruction, I would think Miralax might be helpful, but if there is no intestinal movement, it doesn't matter what you take, you still won't be able to pass anything.
That said, an ileus can cause an obstruction. I would find out the cause of the ileus. I had it once after surgery. Mine was caused by a lack of potassium. My levels were very low, and they were administering all that was recommended. I had a nephrologist come and do a consult. He administered a "lethal" dose of potassium to jump start my system, and it worked. Not saying that is what is happening for you, just saying that there are different reasons for ileus to occur, and you need to get to the bottom of it... I feel for you though, ileus is no fun. Hope it resolves soon.
