McKesson has changed its name to Adapt

Post by oliveoyl »

At least where I am. I don't know if its name has changed everywhere. I was startled when I heard it, and I'm probably way behind the news. The woman who helped me reorder supplies assured me everything is the same, takes my insurance and all that.

For some more info, see a press release about AdaptHealth's acquisition of McKesson's Patient Care Solutions at https://apnews.com/8de20603c2e0415c9b837301f49ee674

As an interesting aspect, prior to this acquisition, McKesson was both a wholesaler of ostomy supplies and a direct-to-consumer seller. Now, AdaptHealth has purchased McKesson's direct-to-consumer business, but McKesson is apparently still in the wholesale business for ostomy supplies.
