Even crazier...a suture saying hello!

After the boil popped, I noticed a couple of dark rings. Wasn't sure what the heck they were but I found out in a day or so. Turned out a suture from my 2010 revision wanted to say hello. It might have been involved in the cellulitis last year. Went to the ER, and got the suture snipped within 20 min of arrival -- and waited another half an hour for discharge!

But the wound already looks and feels a lot better, swelling and hot pink discoloration are gone. Only glitch is that my skin which has seen me through three ostomy systems in my lifetime is now complaining about the tape being used to hold gauze in place...and I've tried three so far. Not painful, just irritating.

That happened to my mother many years ago, but in her case it was from an ear surgery. She had an ear that was off. She was born that way. Later in life she wanted to get it fixed so that she could wear shorter hair. 10+ years after the surgery, that ear started to become painful, than this little brown loop emerged. ER visit, they cut and putted it out. While this was suppose to be a self dissolving suture, guess sometimes they don't.

Hopefully you are doing better soon.

Thanks, Nickolas. I'm doing great. If the wound were healing any faster, there would be sonic booms.
