HI, its been a long time since I have posted here, I am hoping to find a fellow ostomate who has had acdf surgery.
I am concerned about being able to take care of my ostomy if Im unable to bend my neck. If anyone has been through this
any info will be appreciated.

Re: acdf surgery with an ostomy
If you don't get an answer, maybe the surgeon can refer you to an ostomy nurse to make home visits until you are recovered or feel comfortable enough to take care of yourself..
Good luck with your upcoming surgery.

Re: acdf surgery with an ostomy
You might start practicing taking care of your ostomy in front of a mirror. With limited cervical movement, a mirror may be the only way you can take of the ostomy on your own. These things are tricky...especially if you can't see what you are doing!
