Small intestine cancer following ileostomy?

I got my ileo 47 years ago. I’m 54 and had severe ulcerative colitis.

My wife was asking if there was any risk of my having cancer of small intestine.

The entire colon and rectum are gone.

I gather small intestine cancer is rare.

Any insight from health care pros or fellow patients?
