i have had a ileostomy for over 40 years. i have diarrhea now for 5 weeks. dr is confused. any suggestion on how to control.

Have you tried any over the counter antidiarrhea meds?

What type of doctor? One familiar with an ileostomy? Has he/she taken any tests to try to diagnose your issue? Any new meds?
imo a confused doctor is not going to be my doctor.....
