I Love Pearls!

Especially for ileostomates with watery output, have you tried Trio's Pearls? They are super. When liquid mixes with the sachet, it turns into a gel. I prefer them over Activeone Diamonds which produce a black material that doesn't seem to gel as much (what's with the gem names?!). Here's a video:

You can get samples of TRIO products here:

Unfortunately, both can be costly and don't seem to be covered by Medicare or insurance.

Hi Diane: Thanks for the links. Great to see you upbeat & posting your own gems of wisdom for us. Have you tried Parthenon as to the pricing? They may be of help. Stay safe & keep dreaming.

Thanks, To Dream. I'll check Parthenon. I've meant to. A rep from Byram is speaking at our next zoomed N Va. support group. I finally received needed samples of high-output pouches so do need to order...

I have just called Trio to get a sample of the Pearls.
Is there another company that sells this type of product?
Thanks you.

In searching the forums, I found two recommendations for ParSORB from Parthenon and have just ordered a sample of those. 1-800-453-8898 in Salt Lake City UT.
ETA: Found a recommedation for IleSORB, so called Cymed and ordered a sample of that, as well as one of their 2-pc pouch systems. If someone else needs Cymed.us, the phone is 800-582-0707 in Sarasota FL.
I hope one, or more, of these will help.
If someone knows of another manufacturer of liquid-absorber for the pouch, could you please post about it?
Thank you very much.

Secure Health makes a tablet called Gel-X. I find it easier to use than the Ile-Sorb packets, which tend to stick to the side of my pouch before I get them where I want them.

@danilynn Thank you! Could you please post the phone number or website for Secure Health? I need to find out the exact ingredients and excipients of the Gel-X, and cannot find them on the internet.
