Changing Urostomy Bag

I'm new here but I would like to know what is the normal time for replacing a urostomy bag. I have an ileal conduit installed since June 2019. I started changing it every 4th day, but I would get leakage on the 4th day about twice a month and the odor when emptying the bag was pretty potent. I changed to replacing the bag every 3 days, but is it normal? I read one post where the bag was changed once a week.

Not a urostomate. I have a colostomy but I can tell you that wear time varies greatly among all of us. You have to figure what works for you and do that. In 16 years my changes have varied from 2 days to 11. Depends on how well your skin loves the barrier. Right now I'm doing 6 to 7 days and am good the whole time. If you would like more time, you could request samples and maybe find something that lasts longer for you.
