Tips to get more water in?

Hi everyone,
I just started irrigation for my colostomy last week, and following the MSK guide to it, which recommends working your way up to 1L of water. However, I'm finding that once i hit around 500ml, the flow from the bag slows to trickle and no matter how much I wiggle the cone or try to angle it, nothing more wants to get in.
I am also still getting output in the mornings (I irrigate in the evening about an hour after dinner), so I know there's more in there and guessing I'm not getting all the liquid in to flush everything out.
Any tips for getting more water in? Does leaning your body different ways help? Standing vs. sitting? Thanks in advance!
