Gallbadder surgery

I've had an ileostomy for 8 years now with very little issues. However, I did have 2 subsequent surgies early on for a parastomal hernia and a bowel obstruction due to scar tissue. I've been having some gallbladder issues for 8 months now and my doctor thinks it time for gallbladder
removal. The issue here is that I am so worried about all the scar tissue that has to be navigated through and also somethings I've read about post surgical issues with output. The surgeon I spoke with 8 months ago said that if he runs into a problem, then he'll just switch over to the
old way of removal but it's a bit longer recovery. Anyone have any thing they can share that might help me make this decision ?
