World Ostomy Day

Post by To Dream a Dream »

And a lovely day it is at least here on the East coast. A great big thank you to UOAA for carrying the torch forward for so many over the years. (I remember the old days of the original UOA. Miss Jean Laux, RNET was my initial ostomy nurse. A peer of Norma Gill, RNET. The indomitable Miss Laux. A selfless advocate for her patients & one of the pioneers in both the UOA, the recognition & advancement of ostomy nursing education & over-all betterment of supplies & care.) God bless her & all who worked with her to establish the benefits we enjoy today.
Please take time to realize the work & dedication of our UOAA officers & their staff who have adapted & adjusted to changing times. Their tireless efforts exemplify a fitting tribute to their predecessors. Our Webmaster & Moderators for this Discussion Board. The Phoenix Editor & Staff. All contributing to resources we might be tempted to take for granted. God bless them every one.
And God bless you who use this Board. Sharing your own struggles, triumphs & experiences 24/7 in a wonderful success of reaching out to ensure that any facing the harsh realities of life-altering ostomy surgery, need not feel they are alone.
