Donating unused supplies

Post by patrimo »

Hello Folks,

Is there a place to donate unused ostomy supplies? I have a few boxes of Coloplast that don't work for me.

Thanks!
Pat

If you have a local cancer support center, they may be able to accept your extras supplies as well. There is a cancer support house in our community that provides all kinds of cancer support, and one of their rooms is an ostomy room where supplies are donated and handed out to ostomates who otherwise would be unable to get them.

I give my unused supplies to the wound care/stoma nurse at a local hospital. The hospital can obviously not afford to but samples of every type of appliance. Since others also give her their unused supplies she now has some samples for people with problems to try.
