I haven't seen a cancer doc since 2015 when I was pronounced cured.
Lately I have experienced occasional pains in my stomach, but am reluctant to mention it on my periodic checkups as it may be cancer related and my PcP is an internist. Cancer not his specialty.
I am equally reluctant to see a cancer doc and open that can of worms.
Other than a minor stroke 5 years ago, I am in excellent health, although old.
Should I just ignore it?

What about a GI doc? Sort of in the middle....

I don't think symptoms should be ignored...ignorance is not bliss....

Definitely should mention it. I see my oncologist and my surgical oncologist once a year for bloodwork and check ups to make sure the ostomy is behaving and to monitor for any chemical changes in my body. Ignoring it won't make it go away....

Mention it to your PCP, He will probably send to a specialist anyway..... Be proactive. Like Spock says.."Live Long and Prosper"
