Thank you, Yvonne, for reaching out to our Discussion Board regarding help for your patient. Have you tried searching the UOAA website at https://www.ostomy.org/? I just did & found this link: https://journals.lww.com/jwocnonline/ab ... ion.7.aspx
It's an article in the Journal of Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nursing. Published by the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses Society. https://www.wocn.org/
Please visit the UOAA website for information specific to your patient's challenges.
Another source might be your local hospital's medical library. They may have internet access to a broader scope of information.
Have you contacted any of the major manufacturers of ostomy equipment? ConvaTec, Hollister, Coloplast to name a few. Most have WOC nurses available for support.
And please continue to visit our Discussion Board for feedback from our members. Again, thank you. We always appreciate posts from the medical community who are actively involved in providing their patients with quality care.
My thoughts & best wishes go out to both you & your patient who must be a very resilient person as you face this new challenge together.
