Has anyone experienced ballooning while flying ? My pouch seems to fill up with air every hour. Thankfully I wear a two piece. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have read that but in my experience it hasn't happened and I fly internationally from NYC usually twice a year.....so flights from six to fourteen hours....

Could be soda or something you ate preflight.

But yes, we can burp one piece if the filter clogs, Just lift the end of the bag up, release and squeeze out the air. Clear bags work better.

Best done with a dumping in a lavatory if all possible.

If you use a predissolved antacids (not baking soda) in water as a bag flush and leave about 1/4 cup fresh inside the bag to mix with new output, it neutralizes the bacteria and just about eliminates the smell.

So you can burb the bag without killing everyone in the plane. 😆

Pressurized A/C should not be a problem, unpressurized you will get ballooning with altitude.

I haven't flown since my installation but, I frequently travel over the high hills and through the woods. I often felt the different altitudes cause pressure on the intestines squeezing out the air. I would assume you would know the ballooning was from flatulates vs. external entrance.
