New ostomate wanting to sauna

I recently underwent a colectomy and came out with a temporary ileostomy. I would really like to get in our in home infrared sauna to get rid of the anesthesia and toxins from surgery. My ostomy nurse tells me it's OK but I should do it on my change day just in case the heat and sweat breaks down the glue on my barrier.
Has anyone else gotten into a infrared sauna? any guidance is greatly appreciated....

Hi Jules.
I would think that using your sauna shouldn't cause you any issues. In fact, I find that heat tends to help the adhesive become stronger. When I make an appliance change, I actually heat up the flange with a hair dryer to help improve the initial adhesion. I have had my colostomy for over 15 years now, and not once have I sweated it off! I say enjoy the sauna!

I think testing it on bag change day to be good advice.
This way one isn't wasting a wafer/bag.
I plan my hot showers on the same day, lukewarm showers if needed in between.
Why? Same reasons, possibly sweating the bag off.
