Hi I am about three weeks post surgery. I got my j pouch done and was told not to hold anything but now my doctor said that it is ok to start to hold in the stool. I wanted to know if you can hold it to much. what signs to look out for?

If their is any more helpful advise.

HI Jeff, keeping the stool in helps to stretch the pouch, hold for as long as you are comfortable ,it will take time
