I am copying this post from Chuck that was on the general discussion board, hoping a few diversion folks might help out too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If I am in the wrong section, please redirect me.
I had a failed reversal of a colocostomy
back in November.
I am now two weeks into what my doctor assures me is a successful reversal.
My problem is little or no bowel control along with very loose feces.
Sometimes urges come on 5 minute intervals, sometimes as long as several hours. My doctor says this is normal. Can anyone give me hints on how to control things better? Diet? Medication?
I am able to get very little sleep and therefore am feeling generally poorly.
Don't misunderstand, I am thrilled to be rid of the bag.
Am I expecting too much too soon?
I would appreciate any help.
Chuck B.

Hey Chuck B,
How long did you have your colostomy? If it was just a few months then your incontinence should clear up fast. If you had your colostomy for over a year it might take longer. I will tell you I had my colostomy for 15 months. It took me nearly a year to get "REGULAR." Your diet should be high in fiber and lower in fats. I hope this will help you Chuck B.
