I decided to start a blog about the problems I am having. http://dosbambi.blogspot.com/ I have not finished writing , keep checking for more information there. I am glad I came across this board to be able to talk with others that have had this surgery. It is my intent that when others do a search for this information my blog will register and they will read it. I hope it will give valuable information to others.

Hi, I'm from Trenton, SC and have had my IP since August 28 of this year! I'm still on medical leave. My biggest problem is diahrrea. It's killing me! Has anyone had any problems with this?

I lost my bladder in June of 2005 from cancer. God has taken good care of me and continues to take good care of all of us.

I'm originally from Indiana, but moved to south Florida in the past few years. I've had my IP since Nov 06. I had to go to Indiana to have the procedure. I'm loving it!

I have had my indiana Pouch for 21 years. I got it at University of Michigan Peds. Dr. David Bloom.
I live in Chicago now.
I cath about 4 times a day. I get a good amount of infections, but try to work through them. I have no insurance. I haven't had any insurance for 2 years now.

But I lOVE MY STOMA.

Yeah, your still doing pretty good if you are on medical leave. I would be strapped up for months on bedrest alone. It takes time, but once everything is settled, life is pretty good.
