Pressure

Post by elz123 »

Have a Koch pouch for 27 years without significant problems. Over the last two months I've developed rectal pressure, only partially relieved by intubation. Had recent negative pelvic sonogram. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Have you been checked for any type of infection?

I am having issues with scar tissue right now so it is on the mind, but I do think that it could be causing some of your pain. You may want to ask your Doctor to check for that was well.

I had my first Kock for 24 years and periodically had rectal pressure that went away quickly..

Shortly after having a second Kock, I experienced real pain in my lower right abdomen that was relieved every time with the emptying of the pouch. I had it checked out and the doc felt it was from adhesions.

I still get the pressure...I heard somewhere that it was not uncommon. But if it is a real problem for you investigate it further.
