Welcome to the NEW Continent Diversion Discussion Board !
This forum is designed for those people who have had, or may be considering having, an internal bowel or bladder diversion such as a J-pouch, Koch pouch, BCIR or Indiana pouch.
The Continent Diversion Support Group is an affiliated support group of the UOAA. Our main focus has been support via email and telephone calls throughout the country. We are currently in the process of increasing our services, and are looking for people interested in working on our committee. If you are interested, have ideas for our group, would be interested in working on a newsletter, or would just like to be added to our mailing list, please email me at lkramer22-at-verizon.net. Type “CDN” in the subject line of your email.
Do you happen to live in the Philadelphia or South Jersey area ? A regional conference is being held the weekend of April 21-23, in Mt. Laurel, NJ. A Continent Diversion session is being planned. Information can be found through the link on the UOAA home page. Let me know if you plan to attend.
I’m looking forward to hearing from all of you and seeing many great postings on this board !

I'm looking to talk to someone about ileostomy reversal sur.
Lynne,
I was diagnosed with colon cancer last October and had a colectomy in November. Unfortunately, I had complications with my original surgery and had to have a follow-up procedure that resulted in an ileostomy. I had my entire colon removed with about 4" of my rectum remaining. My doctor is strongly suggesting that I have reversal surgery this summer, and I would love to get rid of the bag, but I'm worried about incontinence and constantly feeling I "have to go." I'd like to talk to someone who has had the reversal surgery if possible. I don't know if this is the right site or not.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
