I have a question- if a person has their bladder and urethra

removed d/t interstitial cystitis and the surgeon leaves the urinary meatus, could this be the cause of remaining urgency for the patient? If anyone knows the answer please let me know. Thanks, Aileen

I had my Ureatha in for a Year and in up with problrms and had to go back and had it removed. It was astuslly trying yo go another Bladder at the End. So it had to be removed . If any more Questions just PM me Okay.

Hi, i have a ileal conduit which is a diversion my bladder has holes al through it from radiation so they did this ,,,,,,i still have my bladder and everything just nothing is hooked up and i to have to urge to pee all the time and have to wear a pad because of what they call bladder juice because it is a living organ still there just not being used .........when i sit down i can still feel my bladder muscles tightene and stuff..........sometimes it hurts.

How come they did not remove your bladder if it had holes in it and is not serving any purpose? When did you have this done?

It will be a year on nov 27 i was recovering from another major surgery and going thru my second round of chemo and the doc said it was easier to do this then take the bladder out also i had alot of radiation to that area which resulted in the holes in the bladder as well as alot of other scar tissue and damage from it so i think this was also the safest
