Hollister Adhesive Spray
My urostomy was placed in 2009. I have a large hernia under my stoma which places my stoma on top of a "hill". I have always used Hollister Urostomy Bag #8450 with a generous spay of Hollister's adhesive spray to assure a tight seal. This has served me well until a few months ago when Hollister changed the spray's formula. The active ingredients are the same but the inactive ones are different. In the past the spray came out of the can like a bubbly foam that stuck to the wafer, but now streams out like a thick liquid that immediately runs all over. After 8 - 12 hours my seal would start leaking. I added a barrier ring with only a slight improvement. I changed to the Hollister CeraRing which worked no better than the other ring. I contacted Hollister and was asked for lot numbers. After submitting lot numbers I received new cans of spray with different lot numbers. These of course worked no better than the other cans of spray since the formula is the same. After reading other posts about Hollister product problems, I concluded that either Hollister is trying to cut manufacturing costs to offset rising costs or trying to maxamize profits. Any suggestions about my leaky urostomy.

I have found success with Smith & Nephew "No-Sting Skin-Prep". Ref #66800709
Do you wear any type of hernia belt? Sometimes they can help keep wafers next to skin.
You might want to check out Coloplast SenSura Mio. During this past year they have came out with a wafer specific to deal with hernias. It is a star shaped wafer that clings to the hernia. If you call them, they will be happy to send you samples.
Good luck, hope this helps. I used Hollister for years, discontinued my favorite wafer and bag, not happy with their new lines, switched to Coloplast.
