Hi Tom: I use ConvaTec products & they have a skin friendly wipe that I use after I've removed the wafer & cleaned the area. It helps protect the skin around the stoma & I find it has been easier to remove the wafer residue now when I change the appliance. You might want to call Hollister for samples because I remember their rep showing a similar product once at an ostomy support meeting.
God bless.

I use the Hollister flanges, but haven't experienced that. Maybe you just got a flawed box?

Tom: Has it been during a spell of hot humid weather? Even where the wafers are stored during such times has affected my own Durahesive hydrocolloidal wafers.

Stir crazy, maybe. But not cranky, Tom. You are always so nice. Am really glad the nurse got you some skin prep. You should see a big difference soon. Am sending lots of prayers your way.

I'm not sure if it is the same as what your home nurse gave you, butt I use Convatec Sensi Care Sting Free Adhesive Remover wipes. It too is alcohol, fragrance & dye free. For me, it's the best out there.

Good luck,
