Ostomy supplier

Post by dorothy kent »

My current ostomy supplier, McKesson Patient Care Solutions, is no longer selling a couple of the products I prefer to use. I am currently in need of another supplier. My health insurance, United HealthCare, seems to cover most places. Does any have any recommendations of whom they do or do not like?

I've had excellent service from Parthenon out in Utah. Courteous, efficient & have found what I need. Welcome to our Board.

Depends on whether you are on Medicare of not. With Medicare there frankly aren't many options. UnitedHealth Care Medadvanage will pay for Byram supplies.

I've found Edgepark has everything I want and need -- which is a LOT. Many find it costly. I have Medicare and insurance. Edgepark is covered. https://www.edgepark.com/ostomy/c/L1-3

Others I know like Byram or Sterling and Medicare and my Blue Cross cover these, too.

Right now, I'm limited as I'm working with a visiting nurse and she must order for me. With her, I've been using Mercy Surgical but, for instance, I can't get Cymed MicroSkin products. Mercy Surgical doesn't offer all products I want. However, I'm assigned to one woman who gets to understand my needs very well and is extremely responsive. Joan is her name if anyone needs to go this route. https://mercyscb.com/
