Wrap for Hollister 8331 pouch

Post by jclynch57 »

I'm a new member and new Ostomy.
I'm looking for a wrap that will work this bag that has a pouch that holds the drain clip. I tried a siil belt and had no luck with the bage staying in the opening. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I'm a new member as well with an Ostomy.
I use Siil Intimate Wraps, as it's lacy, comes in grey or black, and has a pocket. It is also softer than the belt. I got one on Etsy and one on SIIL.

I have a few from https://www.ostomysecrets.com. I have both normal and swim ones. I mostly use the swim ones as I like the rayon slip feel. I honestly don't use the pockets. I tend to turn them to my back. I prefer not to use them as they tend to cause pancaking.

I just got an email regarding this https://products.coloplast.us/coloplast ... ant=120030. I plan to look into getting one due to what I suspect is my belly herniating.

I have to update on the new belt I got from Coloplast. I have worn it for a couple full days now and it feels tight but adds confidence instantly for some reason. If you have ever worn a back brace/lift belt before, it feels much like that. It is pretty much a hernia belt after all.

There is a section in this belt where you tape a circle template to cut your preferred hole size. I made mine slightly bigger than the base of my wafer so I can tuck the tabs through also and not have them on the under side poking me.

I should have washed mine first as I got really itchy after the first day and then ended up with round two again itchy at the end of that day. I need to get it washed up and hopefully it doesn't shrink or anything.

I still wore a swim wrap from Ostomy Secrets on the lower part of my waist to pull my pouch in so it didn't show below my shirt line. So, it should also work with the original post question about the drain clip. I haven't tried this Hollister one-piece or any one-piece before but, looks like it's not a clip but a Velcro like the two-piece pouches I've tried before. It will be fine with this hernia belt.

Hollisters drain clip is absolutely prehistoric. It drops in the toilet and gets coated with output.

Switch to Coloplast Sensura Mio with the Velcro tabs, you'll be a much happier person.

I use a prehistoric drain clip and in decades I don't think I ever dropped it in the toilet - on the floor, yes....
